The New Jersey Green Automotive Repair Program (NJGARP) is a partnership between the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers (NJ CAR), the New Jersey Gasoline C-Store Automotive Association (NJGCA), the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) designed to foster greater implementation of "green" practices within the automotive repair sector, and to promote greater recognition of these practices among the citizens of New Jersey.

The New Jersey Automotive Repair Council is a non-profit corporation domiciled in New Jersey, with representation from the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers, Inc. (NJ CAR), the New Jersey Gasoline & Convenience Store Automotive Association (NJ GCAR) and the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP).

3. What is a "Green" Automotive Repair facility?

A "Green" automotive repair facility is a facility that has been "green certified" by the New Jersey Green Automotive Repair Council because it has met established criteria relating to the impact of its operations on the environment in terms of minimizing waste generations, maximizing recycling, conserving energy, and protecting customers and workers at the facility.

4. Where do I find a certified "Green" Automotive Repair facility?

You can find a listing of all certified "Green" Automotive Repair facilities by clicking on the "List of Green Automotive Repair Facilities button on the home page of this website. The list of certified "Green" facilities appears in alphabetical order and is broken down into two categories: New Car Dealership Repair Facilities and Independent Auto Repair Facilities. The list is also searchable by county.
